Didn’t take long for major recruiting news to emerge at DeMatha: Junior running back Lorenzo Harrison has committed to play football at the University of Maryland. Harrison is considered a Top 20 prospect in the state of Maryland and a big part of the Stags plans this season.
DeMatha coach Elijah Brooks was happy to see Harrison stay close to home, saying:
Lorenzo has been an impact player for us since his freshman year. He is an all-around back, you can put him in the backfield, keep him in for pass protection, whatever you need. He can do it all.
Harrison marks the fourth commitment for the Stags so far this year, along with DeAndre Kelly who committed to Temple, Shane Simmons at Penn State, and Tyler Green at Ohio State.
A 5’8″, 185 lbs. speedster, Harrison also had offers from the University of Virginia and interest from Penn State. Watch some of Harrison’s highlights below:
